Samsung’s big gamble this year is the foldable smartphone, rumoured to be called the Galaxy Fold. The company teased the tablet-cum-phone a few months ago, and it is possible that the phone will go official at Samsung’s Unpacked event on February 20 alongside the Galaxy S10. It seems the company jumped the gun by releasing a promo video of the foldable smartphone, which was quickly spotted by a few people before Samsung took it down.
Tipster Ishan Agarwal posted the video on Twitter along with a few screenshots as you can see below. The video gives us a brief glimpse here and there of the foldable smartphone. In one scene, you can see a person unfolding the device to check out a larger display inside. The outside of the device has a smaller display that acts as a smartphone. The outer display shows no notch or hole-punch, which suggests Samsung could be going with the New Infinity display, which the company announced back in November alongside the Infinity-V, Infinity-U and Infinity-O displays.
OMG! It seems like Samsung has shown us the foldable phone in its newest video which it seems to have deleted now. Watch the video below now and see the screenshots from the video in the next tweet showing Galaxy F/Fold.#GalaxyFold #GalaxyF #Samsung #FoladablePhone

There is no confirmation that the device shown off in the video is of the Galaxy Fold, but it is highly suggestive. It could also be a concept phone from Samsung, teasing what the future of smartphone will look like. Either way, the video does build up our excitement on hopefully seeing the Galaxy Fold on February 20 or at MWC 2019 later this month.
Based on what we know so far, the Galaxy Fold will offer a 7-inch foldable display panel, that can fold down the middle, allowing you to close the device like a clamshell. The outside of the Galaxy Fold will offer a smaller secondary display so that you can use it like a regular phone. The Galaxy Fold is expected to come with an Exynos 9820/ Snapdragon 855 chip under the hood. The phone is also said to come with 512GB of internal storage and it could cost around $1800. The foldable phone is said to come with two 2,190mAh batteries which makes a total of 4,380mAh.
It seems Samsung released the promo video prematurely, and it does give a strong hint that the company is readying its launch on February 20. We should know more about the foldable phone on that day, considering it is going to be an important event to mark the tenth anniversary of the Galaxy line.
