The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M40 will reportedly be the first phone in the line-up to run on Android 9 Pie operating software. The Galaxy M40 price in India is likely to be higher than Galaxy M30, Galaxy M20.
Samsung has been busy launching its revamped Galaxy A series and budget segment Galaxy M series in India. The company has already announced three smartphones in the Galaxy M lineup till now including Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30, now, it appears to be gearing up to add the fourth device in the queue — the Galaxy M40.
The phone has started to surface on the internet with speculations on its specifications and features. The previous leak had suggested that the upcoming phone will be the first smartphone in the line-up to run on Android 9 (Pie) and that it will carry a model number of SM-M405F while the latest leak which comes courtesy of popular tipster Ishan Agarwal reveals that the Galaxy M40 will be available in Black, Blue and Coral (Orange) colour options.
Ishan via Tweet also suggested that one of the M40 variants will carry 128GB internal space. The tweet said, “Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy M40 (SM-M405F) soon. It will definitely be launched in India. It seems like it will have at least three colour options: Black, Blue and Coral (Orange). 128GB Storage in one of the variants.”
Separately, another rumour suggests that the device will provide incremental updates for its smaller Samsung Galaxy M30 sibling. There will be multi-mode Wi-Fi which will support 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands. Under the hood, the phone will have Samsung’s own Exynos 7904 chipset and 5000mAh battery capacity.
