It is well known that Samsung loves to tease. And, now the Galaxy S10 launch is almost here, Samsung is again teasing what is likely to be the highlight of the new range for many potential buyers…
Building upon its official teaser ad, the substance behind Samsung’s Galaxy S10 promotion “Because you deserve more” reveals the battery improvements demanded by users for years.
Picked up by SlashLeaks, Samsung has chosen to publicly disclose battery capacities for the Galaxy S10 range to Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency ‘ANATEL’. Samsung knows this is something which will be picked up, and it is a trick the company repeated previously to build up the Galaxy Note 9.
In information backed up by prolific Samsung leaker Ice Universe, we learn that Samsung will fit a Galaxy S9-beating battery (3,100mAh) into its new entry-level Galaxy S10 Lite and a Note 9-beating battery into the Galaxy S10+ (4,100mAh).
Given the former misses out on some headline features of the premium Galaxy S10 range, the Lite should have more than enough capacity for very good battery life while the latter will sport the largest battery Samsung has ever fitting in a Galaxy S phone. With Samsung having done nothing to increase battery capacity since the Galaxy Note 7 scandal in 2016, this is long overdue.

It isn’t the end of the good news either, because the Galaxy S10 range will also get much faster charging as well.
The downside? Samsung is hiking up prices for the new models and the flagship 5G ‘Galaxy S10 Beyond X’, in particular, will be jaw-droppingly expensive. Then again, this looks like the most exciting Galaxy launch in years and the prices for the rest of the range might just be worth it…
